There are countless movies released every month, but oftentimes it feels like it’s the same generic films coming out over and over again. That’s not the case with any of the three very unique movies we’ll be taking a look at in this first movie review post of 2024.

 It’s that time of year again — that time for the year to be over! I can only hope that 2024 will be filled with as many great movies, TV shows, and video games as this past one was, because when it came to all three categories 2023 really delivered.

Super Mario RPG is a remake of the original Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, which was released on the SNES in 1996, and has since become a bit of a cult classic. Though I don’t personally have nostalgia for the original game, I’m a big fan of both role-playing games and Mario, so I was excited to try this updated version.

Three very different movies from three different eras of cinema are featured in this seventh part of Reviewing the Best Movies Ever Made. Will any of these films score a 9/10 or better, or are they more overrated films that don’t hold up quite as well by today’s standards?

Hogwarts Legacy is an action-RPG with a supremely worthwhile main storyline, engaging side stories, and open world elements that lead to enchanting exploration at one’s own pace. It’s also the best Wizarding World property since the original books.

As we enter the final month of 2023, let’s review three releases from this year, one major motion picture that’s now streaming, along with a pair of films that recently came out on Netflix.

Each of the three films in this entry came out in the early 2000s, meaning that they’re some of the newer films on our list. While they might’ve all came out around the same time, I definitely felt very differently about each of them in terms of their quality and how well they hold up.
