Three Overrated Recent Releases: Thanksgiving, Eileen,& Dream Scenario
The three movies we’ll be taking a look at today are all films that, due to what I expected of them going in, were big letdowns. These movies all received very good reviews from critics, but I found each to be undeserving of such high praise.
January 2024 Early Month Movie Reviews: Saltburn, Anatomy of a Fall, Poor Things
There are countless movies released every month, but oftentimes it feels like it’s the same generic films coming out over and over again. That’s not the case with any of the three very unique movies we’ll be taking a look at in this first movie review post of 2024.
More May Movie Reviews: Three Films Worth Watching (The Covenant,Air, Dungeons & Dragons)
There’s a lot of junk out there when it comes to movies, so it’s always a pleasant surprise when I manage to watch three movies that I’d recommend in a row – it’s like Tic-Tac-Toe, but with good films.
Mid May Movie Reviews (Scream VI, AKA, Evil Dead Rise)
There haven’t been too many movies worth watching released recently, but I managed to find three potential candidates of movies that might be worthy of your time. So, how do these three films stack up?

As we enter the latter half of March, let’s take a look at three more movies I watched this month, two newer movies available on different streaming services, along with a mid-2010s sci-fi thriller that went largely overlooked.
March Movie Reviews (Knock at the Cabin, Nocebo, All Quiet on the Western Front)
After three bad movies to close out February, I was happy to start off a fresh month with three better films, two of which I’d definitely recommend, and a third that’s still not a bad way to spend an evening.
End of February Movie Reviews: Three Stinkers to Avoid
I avoid watching bad movies like the plague, but even I’m not immune to falling victim to seeing the occasional stinker. Unfortunately for me, it was string of subpar movies in a row, as I wouldn’t recommend any members of the trio of films broken down in this final February edition of movie reviews.
Mid-February Movie Reviews (Plane, M3GAN, She Said)
Is Plane a smooth, enjoyable ride, or a bumpy flight that you can’t wait to get off of? Does M3GAN fit the bill of a successful and terrifying toy slasher? Plus, what do I have to say about She Said?

I watched three newly streaming movies this past month. Each is extremely different from the others, but all have strong female protagonists. (An unexpected, yet not unwelcome, commonality!) So, which of these three films are worth your attention?

So far this month, I’ve watched two horror movies with very different tones and an underwhelming black comedy thriller. Let’s go over all three of them!
End of August Movie Reviews (Prey, X, Top Gun: Maverick)
I watched three newer movies this August, two of which I recommend while the third might not be worth checking out. Are Prey, X, or Top Gun: Maverick worthy of your valuable relaxation time or would it be better spent reading a book or perhaps picking up a new skill (like basket weaving or website design)? It’s time to find out!
End of July Movie Reviews (Operation Mincemeat, Downton Abbey: A New Era, The Gray Man)
After a promising start to the month movie-wise, I finished off July with the new Downton Abbey movie and a pair of Netflix films, one of which I definitely did not enjoy…

I watched three movies over the first couple weeks of July— two newly streaming horror films and a re-watch of the most violent movie Vince Vaughn’s ever found himself in.
June Movie Reviews (Everything Everywhere All at Once, Hustle, & Hatching)
A well-reviewed Sci-Fi flick, an Adam Sandler sports drama, and a foreign horror film round out the three new movies I watched this June.
